OUR DIVESPOTS
Endless diveverse adventures
DONT CALL EXCURSIONS, WE CALL EXPERIENCES
Come with us to discover a wonderful world.
The coral reefs of the Southern Red Sea offer unique thrills.
There are many occasions and opportunities to sight or swim with dolphins, turtles, dugongs, but you must know that all these creatures are free and therefore no one can guarantee their encounter, not even us!
But the coral reefs you’ll visit and the atmosphere you’ll breathe will still be worth the trip.
from the wonders of shore diving to the reefs of Safaga, Ghalib, Elphistone, depending on your experience and curiosity, we will build your diving experience
Please remember that there is always a minimum number of participants for each excursion and that confirmation must be received at least the day before by lunchtime with the balance of the trip.
There are no refunds for cancellations on the day of the excursion. A full day 2 dives will be applied in case of cancellation on same day, included the extra

SHOREDIVESPOTS
the comfortable jetty, through which you can dive into our beautiful house reef, is only a few steps away from our centre. Our house reef is a breakwater that offers unparalleled conditions for snorkelling and diving. At Diveverse we offer you one of the most beautiful house reefs in the Red Sea right next to your room door, suitable from Open Water to experienced divers.
But if you want to discover other sites, keep browsing the site and discover all the activities dedicated to those who want to dive not only in Housereef
a few km away from our resort, shore dive with two reef fronts. Proposed as an outside dive or as a substitute for the Housereef when not practicable.
You often encounter large pelagics and dolphins coming in for shelter. In the middle of the bay, a small metal statue dedicated to Our Lady has become home to reef fish. Interesting and suitable for all levels.
This incredible site, one of the most famous in the area, allows several dives from the same entrance from land.
The reef to the left (north) will allow us to reach a rich garden visiting blocks and pinnacles home to white and giant moray eels, scorpion fish and crocodile fish, in the plateau at the beginning we often encounter long black pipefish, ghost pipefish, pegasus, and to the right (south reef) the magnificence of this reef is shown with its passages between canyons and pinnacles.
In the blue it will be possible to spot barracuda and jackfish, with a bit of luck even Napoleon fish.
For all levels, by bus, also suitable for accompanying snorkelers.
The site is named after the resort that stands near it, a sandy inlet and two reefs that differ in composition and profile.
It often sees the visit of small groups of dolphins that come to rest in the bay.
The possible lack of visibility at the beginning should not discourage us, especially for the north reef, because the reef will open up to our eyes as soon as we ‘turn the corner’.
Moray eels, scorpion fish, nudibranchs, schools of Indian mackerel make this a pleasant and interesting site.
For all levels, by bus, suitable for snorkelers.
From Jetty the entrance for this dive not so far from our centre.
A wall reef that sinks into the blue and makes it possible, thanks to the north current that often beats the location, to admire passage fish (jackfish, tuna etc.) the north reef takes us from an initial depth to a coral garden interesting for the presence of bat-fish, file fish, and hard and soft coral, the right (south) reef more “plumb” is characterised by several important formations of lettuce coral.
For experienced divers, by bus, suitable for snorkellers
One of Marsa Alam’s most famous bays, a respectable coral reef, incredible biodiversity and the ideal environment for green turtles that ‘graze’ here undisturbed, allowing us to admire and photograph them.
Protected area, equipped beach.
Suitable for all levels, by bus, long distance, suitable for snorkelers.
An interesting site for all levels that allows you to visit two reefs, one characterised by a parallel reef that can be reached after a few minutes’ boat trip detached from the main reef with wonderful, untouched coral formations (it is often possible to admire green turtles that choose it for sleeping), and another reef that grows from a wall that gradually emerges from the shore and ends in a garden where dasiastids and stingrays rest on the sandy patches scattered here and there.
Crocodile fish, clown fish, Indian mackerel, moray eels groupers and scorpions but also glass fish, small groups of juvenile barracuda and hawksbill turtles.
For all levels, by bus, suitable for accompanying snorkelers.
GASSUS SORAYA
Entrance from the sandy shore, the seabed slopes gently, two different dives can be made, south wall with an interesting coral reef, small and medium-sized blocks along the way where glassfish and fish such as jackfish, groupers, scorpion fish can be seen. Seagrass and garden eels are present, possible encounters with green and imbricate turtles. The north wall, on the other hand, descends deeper but allows diving for all levels; a large block marks the outline of a canyon with a sandy bottom at around 20 metres. For both, the safety stop can end near the exit to explore the grass bed or the reef in front of the shore.
Easy access but amazing reef from one of the most incredible shore dive between our resort and Safaga.

Easy access but amazing reef from one of the most incredible shore dive between our resort and Safaga.
A short sail from the amazing bay surronded by a mangrovy and you arrive in this bay almost opposite the MangrovyBay resort, the natural formation of the coral platform allows for safe and protected anchoring, the reef stretching from the first on a shallow sandy seabed, also reaches over 40 metres, and you can encounter everything from dolphins to turtles, mobulas and eagle rays, and oceanic fish such as tuna and jackfish.
Suitable for all levels, it always holds many surprises in store
An interesting coral-rich wall, easily accessible from Mangroovy Bay (opposite the Oriental Coast), perfect for all levels of experience.
As soon as we turn the corner of the reef, the plateau offers a possible encounter with eagle rays, giant dasiathids, schools of barracuda, and we often encounter green turtles.
The bay can be reached by boat starting from Port Ghalib, a short boat trip to reach this very famous site that offers a reef formed at first by patches rich in coral and life at shallow depths and then opening out into scattered blocks in front of the main wall where you can spend the dive in search of microfauna, stone fish, moray eels and different types of anemones.
Famous for the green turtles and dugong that inhabit the shallow bay.
For all levels, bus + boat, lunch on board, full day
The most adrenaline-pumping and famous dive in the southern Red Sea.
A reef that can be reached in good sea and wind conditions and which allows you to visit its wall and plateaus that descend to over 40 metres and are home to longimanus, hammerhead and silky sharks (depending on the season).
Only for experienced, advanced divers with a minimum of 50 logged dives, the best of this dive can only be encountered very early in the morning when the predators are still hunting.
Obviously we cannot guarantee the presence of sharks, but the drif dive, the wonderful wall and the gorgonia are worth the trip alone.
Half day for two dives, by bus + zodiac (fast dinghy)
Shaab Samadai is an offshore reef located in front of the town of Marsa Alam.
Its typical half-moon shape allows dolphins to rest protected by its reef and this is why this area has become a protected area managed and controlled by Rangers, with dedicated areas for boats, swimmers or dolphins only.
Although presence is not guaranteed, it is one of the sites where it is easiest to encounter while snorkelling.
We leave early in the morning by bus to reach the marina in Marsa, once the formalities have been completed we have an hour to an hour and 15 minutes of sailing to do.
The captain will take us in the direction of the reef sailing through other areas where it might be possible to spot dolphins.
For snorkelling a jacket is compulsory, diving will take place outside the reef where we will swim through pinnacles full of life beaten by a gentle current.
Drop off coral gardens, pinnacles and even a small cave will guarantee truly exciting dives.
By boat, full day, lunch included, marine park ticket required.
North reef and south reef both of considerable interest.
One with a wall-like, deeper sloping reef that then rises into a beautiful coral garden where it is possible to spot green turtles and an Eel garden, and one with a shallower plateau from where pinnacles teeming with life emerge.
One of the most interesting aspects of these dives is the number of pelagic fish that can be spotted in the blue, Marsa Shoona in fact being an ideal spot for spotting dolphins and white tip sharks.
Boat dive, full day with lunch on board.
Wreck, from ABU SOMA (Safaga)
Today, the perfectly preserved hull lies close to the reef that was the cause of the wreck, with the starboard side resting at a depth of -32 metres and the port side about -10 metres from the surface. The exploration of the Salem Express starts from the stern where the two large four-bladed propellers can be seen, with the port propeller towering imposingly upwards surrounded by multitudes of multicoloured alcyonarians while the starboard propeller is partially submerged in the sand. Following the imposing wooden deck, about halfway along the hull, the two lifeboats can be seen lying on the bottom at a depth of -27 metres, bearing witness to the fast sinking of the ship that did not give passengers time to use the lifeboats. Diving on this wreck should be done in the morning when the sun evenly illuminates the entire hull. Normally in this reef area, the water is quite murky and there is almost always a slight current. The dive on the Salem Express, can be considered of medium difficulty AND RESTRICTED TO AT LEAST ADVANCED DIVERS, provided that you move very carefully and always buddy up. In the blue, it is now common to encounter shoals of small barracuda and carangidae, which have become sedentary in the waters surrounding the wreck.
Accessible from Port Ghalib, this dive site offers a unique coral wall. At the centre a plateau with sea plants ideal for feeding green turtles, the wall grows to a depth of 31 metres. Part of the reef separates from the main wall just before the corner and offers a passable arch at a depth of about 30 metres.
In the blue we admire pelagic fish, barracuda and batfish. In the wall from hawksbill turtles to crocodile fish, scorpion fish and spotted stingrays. Suitable for all levels.
